Privacy Policy

The public LinkedCulture website and search interfaces do not require users to create accounts or submit personal profile information.

Basic server logs may include IP address, browser, requested page, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and diagnostics, and may be retained for up to 30 days unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse or comply with a legal obligation.

LinkedCulture operates public social media accounts and uses platform APIs to publish educational videos about CC0 museum objects. Those platforms process viewer and account data under their own privacy policies.

When an account holder authorizes a platform integration, LinkedCulture uses the resulting access token only to complete the requested publishing action, refresh access when permitted, and check publishing status where the platform supports it.

Platform client secrets, refresh tokens, and access tokens are stored as server-side environment variables or platform secrets. They are not embedded in public JavaScript, HTML, or client-side source code.

The TikTok Content Posting API integration uses the authorized account token to retrieve creator posting options, initialize uploads or direct posts, and transfer a selected LinkedCulture video to TikTok.

LinkedCulture uses public museum APIs and open collection data from institutions including Getty, Rijksmuseum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Harvard Art Museums, the Met, Paris Musees, and others. Video scripts, captions, and narration may be generated or assisted by AI tools, but no visitor personal data is sent to those tools for LinkedCulture search or publishing.

LinkedCulture does not require tracking cookies for ordinary browsing. Some pages may use basic operational analytics or anti-abuse checks to understand traffic, diagnose failures, or protect public endpoints.
